Wedding: Brooke and Justin

Update: Here is a slideshow with more of Brooke and Justin's wedding pictures. Click on the play button below to watch it.

It's been a busy day and weekend, but I wanted to take a quick moment to share with you a couple of our favorites from this weekend's wedding. The ceremony was held at First Plymouth in Lincoln and the reception at The Country Club of Lincoln. Brooke has amazing style and taste so it didn't surprise us that both places were decorated beautifully. We really enjoyed spending the day with Brooke, Justin and their families and will be posting a few more over the next day or so for you to enjoy.

Engagement Session w/ Brooke and Justin

This week we had an engagement session with Brooke and Justin from Lincoln. We started in Lincoln's Haymarket and then went to The Grand Manse where they will be having their rehearsal dinner followed by the State Capital which has lot of fun and elegant places to take pictures. I can't wait until we're there on the day of the wedding.

Brooke and Justin have taken pictures all over the world with him giving her kisses on the cheek. So we took a few more to add to their collection.

Tracy and Jesse

We had a great time hanging out with Jesse and Tracy during their recent engagement shoot. Because of some upcoming scheduling things this was the only time they could really get together. The only reason I mention that is because the high was 39 degrees and it was very windy the entire time. They were great to work with and we're really looking forward to their wedding.

For Photographers:
All of the above shots were taken with my new 50mm 1.4 Nikon lens. I was hesitant in purchasing this lens even though a lot of photogs friends have said they loved it. I am now in that camp. I probably shot 75% of this session with that lens and the only thing I wish it had was a faster focus, but I guess you can't have everything.
Later...

Derek Webb & Caedmon's Call

Last night we went to see Derek Webb and Caedmon's Call in concert! It was a great concert and I haven't seen these guys live since I was in High school in North Carolina and now Derek Webb has his own CD's. His music and lyrics are moving and will definitely make you stop and think. I love it!
