As I was looking at some quotes the other day I ran across one that I really liked.
Good Enough
All to often "good enough" is where the "weaker's" stop.
It keeps the very best in them from rising to the top.
"Enough" implies just getting by and "good" falls short of best.
So "good enough" is average stuff and seldom meets the test.
But you don't have to settle there. You have what it takes.
Push your self to do your best, its how you get the "breaks."
Remember that the choice is yours and you alone choose either,
but those who win are those who know that "good enough" is neither!

I believe anyone who runs their own business successfully, will tell you to never stand still for too long. In other words “good enough is not enough.” One reason why I believe Erin and I have grown faster than we expected in the past couple years is because we are constantly striving for excellence. Don’t get me wrong, in no way do I believe we are the example of excellence, we just strive for it. We are also genuinely interested in encouraging others to pursue excellence in whatever they do, even other photographers. I love to see others succeed, it motivates and encourages me. The only thing better for me is seeing others grow based on advice we may have passed on.
A few things we feel are necessary when striving for excellence…
1. Respect others.
2. Encourage and help others in the pursuit of their goals and dreams.
3. Provide clients with high quality products they can enjoy for a lifetime.
4. Learn from the best, push your own creative abilities and never stop.
5. Be truthful and honest in every aspect of your business and personal life.
6. Above all… and this may be controversial to some, but we strongly believe that the largest part of our success is that we strive to honor God in every area of our lives and base our business decisions and life choices on biblically based principals and wisdom.

One of my favorite thoughts in the above poem's last sentence is, “Remember that the choice is yours…” We are the only ones responsible for the choices we make. If you make a bad one, learn from it. If you make a good one, pass it on. I really hope that this will encourage others to strive to be the best they can be.
"Around here, however, we don’t look backwards for very long. We keep moving forward, opening up new doors and doing new things… and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” - Walt Disney
