In You - By Erin Melenbacker

Sometimes our lives get so busy heading in one direction that we forget or neglect areas that we not only enjoy but are blessed by. This hit me at church this morning while Erin was performing a song she wrote. Singing with her is Paul Braddy, who added so much to the song with his voice and guitar. Some of you know that in the past Erin has done a lot of singing and songwriting and has even opened for 4 Him and Jaci Velasquez (back in the day). I am so proud of her singing and songwriting ability and feel guilty that I have taken it for granted over the past few years. We have been so busy with "life" that sometimes this amazing talent can be pushed to the back burner even though it can bless others. This was made apparent to me today when I saw various people with tears in their eyes during the song.

Because I enjoyed this so much I wanted to share it.

Nothing like God's words thru music and great songwriting. totally love this -- really moving. We are muso's in this household - my 8 year old is writing his own piano pieces, my 5 year old wrote a christian-punk rock song last week -- and my husband -- Berklee grad....what more can I say. I loved this. Kudos!

OMG I had no idea Erin had more talent than Shane... LOLOL ;) Seriously, Erin that was wonderful, I love that song. Has a movie soundtrack/end credits feel to it. Also reminds me a little of Sarah MacLachlan. Where can we hear more?
