Brown Church Development

We were recently able to take pictures for our church Cornerstone Berean and for the designers/builders of our church Brown Church Development. Shane and I truly enjoy the company of others who inspire us to seek out excellence in all areas of our lives. In the past few months we have gotten to know the owners of Brown Church Development, Todd and Michelle, and it has been such a blessing to learn from their faith and passion for Christ. Pie Wars!!!

The pie wars have begun!!! My mother-in-law (by the way, she is watching me write this so I have to behave :) and I have begun trying to make a better pie than the other. This started last year and I think may continue for a while or until she finally gives up. Anyway, I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving.

30th Birthday Fun

Saturday night we celebrated with our friends Brian and Amanda. We first met Amanda through Nebraska Wedding Day and quickly realized that Amanda and Brian are just awesome people to hang out with. Amanda put together a surprise party themed "Crazy Hat, Wild Hair" and on-top of the fun theme had some of the best cake we've tasted. It was great getting to spend time with them when things wound down. As we laughed and caught up with Amanda, Brian crashed. Listen closely and you may hear the snoring :) By the camera angle, it's obvious we were all tired too.We also want to wish our friend Sarah Pfeiffer a happy birthday as well. Her birthday party was on the same night in Omaha. Wishing you the best Sarah!

Back in 1775...

my Marine Corps came alive (a cadence sang by Marines while running)! Happy birthday Marines! Many may not understand this but the Marine Corps is built on tradition and one of the most important traditions celebrated by Marines is their birthday (November 10). So... to all my brothers and sisters out there, veterans and active alike... Have a Great Day!

Chaos...

So, we had this bright idea to design and build our own office space using cabinets. It really is a great idea, however, it's been an undertaking. Last night we were up pretty late trying to decide how the overhead cabinets should go. Since we couldn't agree, I drew my drawing and Shane his. You'll notice mine is complete with flat panel screens :) Shane made his adjustable with cabinet-simulating cutouts. (Ooooooo...)

Kim & Brian

Last Sunday we spent 4 1/2 hours with Kim and Brian and loved it! They came here from their current home of Washington, to spend part of their day with us. This was our first time meeting each other in person. I'm always a little nervous yet excited on these first meetings hoping that we meet their expectations and we all click personality wise. I have to say, we had so much fun!
